●Warne新記録樹立
現在行われている南アフリカとのテストシリーズで、Shane Warneがまたもや世界記録を達成しました。
今回の記録は1年間の最多ウィケット奪取数で、これまでオーストラリアのファーストボーラーDennis Lillieが24年間保持していた85ウィケットを越しました。
まだWarneは今年数イニングを残しており、夢の100ウィケットも充分達成可能です。
彼は最近の好調さをODI引退のおかげと言っています。
”ODIを引退したおかげで、守備でダイビングしたり、遠投をする必要が無くなったから随分助かったよ”
本当に外見や発言だけ見ると、プロアスリートとは思えないですね。。。

あと彼は、２００８年まで現役を続けたい、と語ってますね。現在３６歳、ペースボーラーに比べれば体に負担が少ないと言われているスピナーですし、余程の大怪我（あるいは再ドーピングなどの大スキャンダル？）がなければ十分いけるでしょうね。そうなると、8００ウィケットも夢ではなくなってきます。。。
確かに発言や体格、あと私生活は、理想のプロアスリートとはほど遠い彼ですが、やはりクリケットに関しては並外れた天才なんでしょうね。「天は人に二物を与えず」の典型なんでしょうか？？？
それにしても、Warneについては相変わらず辛口だねー。。。---＞しゅん

Warneは38歳どころか、持病の肩が爆発するまで続けそうですね。
ちゃんとフィットネストレーニングを続けていれば、もっと長生き出来る様な気もします。
辛口どころか愛情たっぷりに書いております。
超一流選手は性格も良いなんて、マスコミがでっちあげた虚像だと思ってますから。
その点、本能のまま行動出来るWarneは尊敬しています。
