●Ashes the movie
Ashesとボディラインシリーズを題材にした映画にラッセル・クロウが主演するようです。
クロウは当時のオーストラリアキャプテン、Bill Woodruffを演じる予定で、その他にホリー・バランスがDon Bradmanの妻の役になるそうです。
監督はスナッチ等で有名なイギリスのマシュー・ヴォーンで、総予算は約40億円。クランクインは来年を予定しているとか。
俳優には実際にクリケットが出来る人を探しているらしく、Don Bradmanを含め、現在当地でオーディションを行っている段階だそうです。
ボディラインシリーズはどちらかというと、BradmanよりもJardineやLarwoodのほうが重要なので、そちらの役に良い俳優を使って欲しいものです。
ボディラインは以前にもヒューゴ・ウィービング（マトリックスで増えた人）主演でミニテレビシリーズになったことがありますが、今回はもうちょっと本格的なようです。
果たして日本で封切られるのか、なっちゃんはどんなヘンテコ字幕を付けてくれるのか、そして日本の観客は引かないのか、などなど映画以外の見所が満載です。
万が一日本で公開になった暁には、是非皆で見に行きましょう。

クロウも元NZ代表キャプテンのいとこなので、クリケットは上手いような気がしますよね。
しっかし、Bradmanはどれだけ面食いなんだろう。。。
